Frequently Asked Questions
General Information Concerning Swimming Lessons
LESSONS HELD REGARDLESS OF WEATHER
Q:
What if my child cries and says that he/she does not want to swim?
Do not ask your child to make that type of choice. You, the parent or guardian, know what is best for the child. You do not ask if they want to go to school or to the doctor. Similarly, swimming is a life skill, and a very necessary one.
Please note:
- Lessons are ten days
Week 1 is Monday - Friday
Week 2 is Monday - Friday - The end product is a safe swimmer for the rest of his or her life.
- Allow 30 minutes for your lesson, although John determines when a particular session is over.
- Continuity is a key to success. It is helpful if the student is brought to the class by the same person each day, although if that is not possible the end result will be the same A SWIMMER.
- The bringer's in the pool participation will be used during the later part of the lesson schedule. (optional)
- A swimsuit and a towel are required for the student and the bringer. NO goggles or floatation devices.
- Depending on several factors such as age and compliance, your child may or may not cry initially. Generally, the older the student, the less likely they will respond with vocal MANIPULATION in the form a crying.
- Your child will learn to swim within ten lessons. Some learn faster than others and some swim better than others. Most will be swimming in 3 or 4 days and some the first or second lesson. DO NOT compare your child’s ability in any area of education, least of all swimming.
- Swim2John's method works because it replicates Tom's no-nonsense approach that is time tested since 1957 with over 85,000 successful students worldwide. Our swim trainers are in control of all aspects of the learning experience for both the student and parents.
- Payment is to be made prior to the third lesson. Please make your check payable to SWIM 2 John, Inc. and please put your child's name on the memo line of your check. The tuition is $395 per child for ten days of instruction. A swimmer is the GUARANTEED result.
- Photographs and video are permitted.
